ATTENTION!!! Read this entire document VERY carefully!
NOTE: These guidelines are not designed to restrict, but to create an undistracting environment where students can worship God and glorify Him in what they say, hear, wear, and do.
Stuff TO Bring
- A fantastic attitude and a desire to draw near to God
- Casual clothing and work clothes for three days (see clothing standards below)
- Swimming stuff (we’ll swim at least once)
- Closed-toe shoes (for your mission site)
- Work gloves
- Sheets, a blanket, a pillow, sleeping bag, etc.
- Towels and washcloths
- Personal hygiene items
- Spending money for snacks, T-shirts, CD’s, etc.
- ZIP Lock or sealable container for ALL food/candy items (MUST be used in dorm rooms)
- Alarm Clock
- Watch
- Bible, pen, notebook, etc.
- Money for food on the way there and back (1 Fast food breakfast, 1 McAllister’s type meals and potentially 1 Chili’s or Cheddar’s type meal – total 3 meals)
Stuff NOT to Bring
- MEDIA PLAYERS (i.e. MP3, CD, DVD, VIDEO GAMES, etc.) (Yes, this means, “Please do not bring them at all… not for the bus ride or any other portion of the trip”)
- Spaghetti strap tops or small tank tops
- Tight clothes
- “Short” shorts or skirts. (Stand with your arms by your side. If your finger-tips are touching your skin, your shorts or skirt should be longer for camp)
- Bikinis or two-piece bathing suits (unless covered with a dark T-shirt)
- Speedos
- Tobacco, drugs, alcohol, or weapons
- Potential prank items like: fireworks, water balloons, etc.
- Clothing with questionable sayings, slogans, etc.
