Women's Bible Study

Sylvania has two different women's Bible studies going on right now and we would love for you to join us! The first weekly study happens every Tuesday morning at 9:30am at Sylvania, and the second happens every Tuesday evening at 6:30pm at Sylvania. Please let us know if we can answer any questions for you or serve you in another way by contacting us at womensministry@sylvaniachurch.com. We hope to see you there!

Friday Men's Bible Study

The men of Sylvania meet at Sylvania every Friday morning at 6:00am to study God's Word together. We are prayerfully and diligently working our way through an exposition of the book of Philippians. What is the end goal in studying Philippians in particular? It is to say, with the apostle Paul, not hypocritically, but in all sincerity:

"But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith—that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead."

There is no pursuit in life more worthy than this. Knowing Christ is everything. We hope you'll join us on our pursuit of Him. If you have questions, please contact us at mensministry@sylvaniachurch.com.

Ongoing Ministries and Activities

General Ministry Opportunities. Sylvania, as with any growing church, has ample needs and opportunities for people who want to be actively involved in the ministries of the church. If needed, training is provided. To make yourself available for any other ministry at Sylvania, contact Chris Brody or any of the staff.

Helping Hands Food Pantry. One such opportunity involves the Sylvania Helping Hands Food Pantry. We have the privilege of meeting, sharing the gospel with, praying with, and giving food to up to 15 people every week. But, truly, while the harvest is certainly plentiful, the workers are indeed few. Please contact us at helpinghands@sylvaniachurch.com or call the church office if you are interested in being part of this local mission.

Worship Team/Worship Band —
"Praise Him with music..." Persons interested in ministering through the worship band (instrumentalists) or worship team (singers) are  invited to talk with Chris Gaston or Richard Huggins to get the particulars.
