Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15).
The men’s ministry of Sylvania seeks to recapture biblical manhood by equipping men to provide Christ-like love, self-sacrifice, and leadership to their homes and to the body of Christ. We believe that the example of the early church provides us with a timeless pattern for what should be the primary focus of the church. They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer (Acts 2:42).
In light of the infinite value of these spiritual disciplines, the men of Sylvnaia Church meet:
- Fridays at 6:00 a.m. to study the Word and the foundational doctrines of our faith.
- Sundays at 8:30 a.m. and Tuesdays at 6:00am to pray for the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of Sylvania.
It is our desire to disciple men and cultivate in them the passion of the early church. We believe that as men seek God’s face in prayer and through the study of the Word, they will be captivated by the greatness of God and compelled to share the message of God’s abundant grace and mercy.
