Men’s Ministry

We Aren’t Built to Battle Alone

So, we lock arms to celebrate, struggle, correct, build up, pray, and grow—together.

What We Do

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15).

The men of Sylvania seek to recapture biblical manhood by equipping men to provide Christ-like love, self-sacrifice, and leadership to their homes and to the body of Christ. We believe that the example of the early church provides us with a timeless pattern for what should be the primary focus of the church—they were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer (Acts 2:42).

Men's Ministry Teams

Men’s Ministry Teams are groups of 3-4 men who meet regularly for fellowship, study, encouragement, and accountability. You don’t have to be a church member, but you do need to be committed to your Men’s Ministry Team.

Men's Bible Study

We meet at Sylvania for Bible study every Thursday at 6 a.m. Since we rarely take weeks off, you’ll likely find Men’s Morning Bible Study on this week’s men’s ministry calendar. If you do, come join us!

Men's Breakfasts

We gather for a Saturday morning men’s breakfast about once every three months. We eat, fellowship, and receive encouragement from the Word. Find the next breakfast on the men’s ministry calendar and sign up.

Other Men's Events

In addition to our Men’s Ministry Teams, weekly men’s Bible study, and quarterly men’s breakfasts, we host a number of other men’s events throughout the year.

Ready to Connect?

Most of our men’s meetings happen organically—men taking the initiative to gather with other men for lunch, family fellowships, or get togethers after work. The Signal app makes that easy, so…
